Our client is a dairy processing plant that processes cultured dairy products including sour cream, yogurts and probiotic drinks. The plant has its own sewage treatment facility and initially consisted of a three-lagoon system.

EnviroFix was retained by the client in 1998 to propose a plan for their facility’s wastewater treatment system upgrade and process enhancement.
To meet Ontario Water Quality Objectives for phosphorus, ammonia and total suspended solids we used Proprietary technology treatment.
Design, construct, and commission the wastewater treatment system and improve operation efficiency.

Since 1998, EnviroFix has been managing the facility's wastewater system on a turnkey basis. Tasks involved to complete the project successfully include:
All work was completed to meet the plant requirements for approving production. As part of this project, EnviroFix optimised the treatment operation by converting the lagoons to combined extended aeration activated sludge system and facultative polishing lagoons with tertiary treatment for direct discharge.
